If there was an image beside the definition of ‘fitspiration,’ it would be of Halle Berry. In honor of #FitnessFriday, the 53-year-old actress posted a photo on Instagram revealing her washboard abs — and the Internet is losing its mind.
Berry explained that she has been training for the upcoming movie Bruised, in which she’ll direct and play an MMA fighter. “There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and smashing it,” she wrote in the caption. “One of my goals for #BruisedTheMovie? Ripped Abs — and today? I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable!”
You can tell the star is proud of this accomplishment, as she should be, by the sheer joy on her face. In the photo, she is smiling from ear to ear while lifting her shirt to show off her insanely toned stomach. See for yourself:

Berry also shared some words of encouragement for followers looking to achieve certain fitness goals. “I encourage you to guys to set your bar. What is your fitness goal? Set the BAR higher than you think, share your goal in the comments and HOLD yourself to it,” she wrote.
“The work won’t be easy, but that pay off? Worth every damn second,” she continued.
But the #fitspo didn’t end there. In her Instagram Stories, she shared some of the moves she did to get those 6-pack abs – and they are no joke. Appearing alongside her performance coach Mubarak “Bar” Malik, a New York City-based celebrity personal trainer, Berry performed a series of kettlebell squat presses, kettlebell swings, and kettlebell lunges.

On Berry’s Instagram stories, Malik is heard praising the star for her dedication: “Halle is a beast […] Her mental focus is top, top level […] She has been killing it every day, she trains like four hours a day […] She’s inspired me, and I thought I was at a certain level.”
Of course, her comment section is full of support, too. “Let. Them. KNOW!!!” wrote Gabrielle Union. “Halle, seriously, you and your abs just motivated the heck out of me. It’s obvious you’re working hard and steady; what an inspiration you are,” Mark Dacascos commented.
Berry is obviously no newbie to the gym and has taken to social media to show off her strong physique before. In January 2018, she began her #FitnessFriday video series with her trainer Peter Lee Thomas. Each week she shares snaps from her training sessions, healthy snack recommendations, and words of wisdom, all of which you can find in her highlights.
In a #FitnessFriday post earlier this month, the actress wrote that training for her role in Bruised has introduced her to “so many incredible individuals — professional athletes and trainers that have pushed my inner-warrior to places I would have never imagined!” It sure has paid off, and we can’t wait to see her in action!
