John Legend just pulled the ultimate husband move. On Sunday, his wife Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to share the sweet thing he did for her after hearing she was having a rough couple of days – and it makes a bouquet of flowers look far less appealing. Teigen explained that the singer, who had been in London, rerouted his trip to be with her at home for just a few hours.
“I do not normally brag about John, as it is my schtick to make fun of him always, but he flew from London to LA instead of London to DC to have dinner with me and watch Love Island UK because I haven’t been feeling like myself lately,” she wrote on Twitter, adding that although they only got to spend a few hours together but “it meant a lot.”
It’s the little things that count, right?

She later tweeted that Legend even flew on “his least favorite airline” just to get to her so they could binge-watch her new favorite reality show. Talk about sacrifice. “That is love,” she added.
Legend humbly accepted his wife’s appreciation post, responding, “I love you my baby.”
And, of course, Teigen’s fans are also swooning over the gesture. “Lucky woman,” wrote one. “It’s about supporting your partner always, giving extra when they really need it, and sacrificing your own comfort when the situation requires it,” added another.
Last month, the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in Paris with their two children, Luna and Miles. They have been together for a total of 12 years. Part of their success seems to have to do with deep mutual admiration, but they have also been honest about how their relationship takes a lot of work.
“I don’t want to present myself as the ‘perfect spouse’ and I don’t want to present our relationship as the ‘perfect relationship’ because I don’t think anybody meets that definition,” Legend said in an interview with Cosmopolitan.
“However, I don’t mind being known as somebody who’s devoted to their wife. I am devoted to Chrissy,” he added.
