Between blinged-out bobby pins, scrunchies, and snap clips, hair accessories are having a moment. The latest piece making waves this summer is the hair scarf — and its undeniably chic. Caroline Anderson, Style Expert at Anthropologie, tells The Zoe Report that the versatility of hair scarves are what make them so appealing. “I love styling a silk scarf as a belt, bracelet, around your neck, and even tied onto a purse,” she tells the publication. “With so many motif and size options, anyone can find a style suited to their taste and budget.”

To keep it from slipping, Refinery29 suggests placing a stretchy headband over your hair, then placing the scarf on top of that. You can tuck the scarf into the headband, which looks a lot more natural than securing it with bobby pins.

You can also use a scarf as a head tie by folding it and tying it closer to your hairline, or wrap one around the base of your ponytail for a playful look.
