Bebe Rexha has unfortunately been the target of a ton of body shaming, but she’s not taking any of it lying down. When the 30-year-old singer shared a photo of herself in a gorgeous black gown on Instagram, she fired back at trolls who were commenting on her weight.
Over the weekend, Rexha posted a pic of herself looking drop-dead gorgeous before her performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She’s rocking a stunning gown with a daring slit, showing off her black, thigh-high boots. The caption reads: “I’ve always wanted to do an Ellen solo performance and doing it for an empowering song was amazing. I’m so grateful. #YouCantStopTheGirl”
The majority of comments are from followers complimenting Rexha on her incredible look, but of course, the trolls found their way to her post as well. “Wow… you need to lose weight 🤮.” one commenter wrote. Rexha was quick to fire back: “No you need to be more accepting and work on your own self hate.”
Rexha’s fans also jumped to the singer’s defense. “Boo, this shows that you’re jealous of her accomplishments and you wish that you are in the photo doing an Ellen show. @beberexha deserves everything that comes her way,” one user wrote. “Why are you saying this? This is not your body and not your business,” said another.

I probably should of photoshopped my stomach and made it look flat. I probably should of photoshopped my legs to make them look thinner. I probably should of made myself look taller and Smoothed my legs. But I didn’t. Society can really fuck with you. Here is what a real woman looks like on Instagram without photoshop.
This is sadly not the first time Rexha has had to clap back to bullies online. Back in May, the singer shared an unretouched bikini selfie to show fans “what a real woman looks like.”
“I probably should of photoshopped my stomach and made it look flat,” she wrote in the caption. “I probably should of photoshopped my legs to make them look thinner. I probably should of made myself look taller and smoothed my legs. But I didn’t. Society can really fuck with you. Here is what a real woman looks like on Instagram without photoshop.” Earlier this year, Rexha also spoke out about a designer who refused to dress her for the Grammys because they felt she was too big.
Despite the negativity, it’s clear that she’s not letting any of it get her down. Rexha just dropped a new video for her female empowerment anthem, “You Can’t Stop The Girl,” where she is reimagined as Maleficent and joined by a variety of women highlighting body positivity, people with physical disabilities. and racial diversity. Perhaps that’s the best clap back of all.
